Amanda Seyfried has been signed as the face of the Very Irresistible for Givenchy, taking over from Liv Tyler. This is Amanda’s second beauty campaign, as she is also the face of Clé de Peau Beauté. The campaign has the usual black and white chic look to it and was styled by Riccardo Tisci himself. It will include both print and TV ads shot by Glen Luchford (print) and Cédric Klapisch (TV) but we’ll have to wait until October until we see Amanda in the magazines. Thierry Maman, global president of Parfums Givenchy, noted that the actress’ “style and elegance” and high profile made her a natural pick for the very youthful Very Irresistible Givenchy.
Her response when they offered her the job? “Fuck yeah,” she told WWD. “It’s an honest collaboration. I’m proud to be a part of [the brands I’m involved with] because what they do is really cool, especially Givenchy – they’re so artistic. And I feel like I have a foot in the fashion industry now.”
But don’t expect a celebrity fragrance from Amanda anytime soon. “They’re hard work and the more you do, they take away from your work as an actor. I’m doing these two campaigns because I care about them and the people involved. They’re great things to be attached too.”
